Application Deadline	January 17 (Fri), 2014
Eligibility	(1) Privately financed international students who study as regular master or doctoral students as of April, 2014. (2) International students hailing from Asian countries. Students from Korea will be given priority. (3) Those who major in either mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering / electoronics. (4) Those who are motivated learners to contribute to the development as an engineer between Japan and their home country in the future. (5) Those who have concrete objectives and plans for their study in Japan and are expected to accomplish their goal. (6) Those who truly need financial support. (7) Those who will not receive scholarships from other foundations as of April, 2014 and afterwards. (8) Those who can communicate in Japanese.
Amount	Duration: 2 years from April, 2014 to March, 2016, in principle. *Limited to the minimum years required for completion of your program. Amount: 80,000 yen/month Lump sum payment: 200,000 yen/year (In total 2 times)

Apply To	Applicants must submit the following documents to ILO.1. Application Form (Form1), 1 original 2. Current academic transcript, as well as transcripts from the school or institution previously attended (excluding Japanese language schools), 1 copy Submit the listed two documents by January 17 (Fri). Those applicants who passed the GSFS internal screening will be required to submit other necessary documents.
