Applicants must not hold Japanese citizenship, or retain permanent residence status in Japan while attending a Japanese Graduate school in the AY 2016 (April 2016 – March 2017). |

Applications from overseas are not accepted. |
| (3) |
Applicants must be able to communicate in Japanese and English (in reading and writing) |
| (4) |
Applicants may not be receiving over 1,500,000 JPY/year in financial aid from other sources |
| (5) |
Past recipients of CWAJ funding, or members of the CWAJ are not eligible to apply. |
