Eligibility |
(1) |
Privately financed international students who study or will enroll at a graduate school in Japan as of April 1, 2014 who have excellent academic records and need financial support. |
(2) |
Those who will be at a graduate school after April 2014 and who can submit a certificate of student status or certificate of enrollment or a letter of admission. |
(3) |
Those who are born after March 31, 1978 for doctoral course students and those who are born after March 31, 1983 for master course students. |
(4) |
Those who can commit themselves to work in their home country after graduation. |
(5) |
Those who understand and contribute to international friendship and good will. |
(6) |
Those who can communicate well in Japanese. Interviews will be conducted in Japanese. |
(7) |
Those who receive other scholarships are not eligible. |
(8) |
Part time jobs other than TA, RA, translation are not acceptable. |

Amount |
standard study period Scholars are able to choose a course among below.
1. Duration of 1-2 year with 200,000 JPY/month
2. Duration of 3 years with 180,000 JPY/month
3. Duration of 4-5 years with 150,000 JPY/month
*For each course, the scholar are unable to change the course or extend the scholarship payment. The payment will start from April 2014. |
