| Eligibility |
| (1) |
Those who took the N1 Level Japanese Language Exam held in July or December of 2013, and passed with a score of 170 or better (135 or beter for those whose native language is not Chinese or Korean). |

Self-financed international students studying Japanese language, culture, or literature or are training to become Japanese language instructors (or are enrolled in a program closely linked to these areas), enrolled in a regular program at a graduate school. |

Those receiving less than 60,000 JPY per month from other sources of financial aid. |
