Eligibility

(1)	Privately financed international students with non-Japanese nationality.
(2)	Students enrolled in a regular program at master or doctoral courses as of April, 2014.
(3)	Those who major in science and technology.
(4)	Those who are physically fit and are of excecellent academic standing.
(5)	Those who are not receiving other scholarships from other sources.
(6)	Those who are interested in an international understanding and amity and are expected to contribute to it.
(7)	Those who are married or who have family to support must certify they can provide their family living expenses.

Amount

Amount: 80,000 JPY/month
Duration: one year from April 2013 to March 2014

Apply To

Applicants must submit the following documents to ILO.
Application Form should be printed in single page and should not be stapled.

1.	Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations, Original and one copy
2.	Transcript of graduate school and of undergraduate school, 2 copies
3.	Foundation specified letter of recommendation by the supervisor, original and one copy
4.	Copy of an residence card (or Alien Registration Card), both front and back sides needed.
5.	Medical check up report
6.	Two black and white photographs (size of 5 x 3.5 cm, portrait, taken within 3 months) *Write the date photographed, name and nationality on back side.
7.	Complete set of foundation specified application form (including essay, you have choose one topic from the provided option)
8.	Research plan (within 800 words in Japanese)
