Eligibility

(1)	Master’s or Doctoral students from the USA or Canada, studying at a University in the Metropolitan area.
(2)	Those who are facing financial difficulties.
(3)	Those who are high achievers with good health and desirable attitude as scholars.
(4)	Students who reside in the Tokyo Metropolitan area.

Amount

Amount: 70,000 JPY/month
Duration: Up to 2 years for MA students. Up to 3 years for Ph.D. students (4 years for students of Medical sciences)

Apply To

Applicants must submit the following documents to ILO. Application Form should be printed in single page and should not be stapled.

1.	Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations, Original and one copy
2.	Transcript of graduate school and of undergraduate school, 2 copies

Those applicants who passed the GSFS internal screening will be required to submit other documents and an essay in Japanese.
