Eligibility

(1)	Those who are enrolled in a master’s or doctoral course, and reside in Tokyo.
(2)	Research students, and also MEXT scholarship recipients, are not eligible.

Amount

Amount: 100,000 JPY per month.
Duration: Standard study period required to complete a degree program

Apply To

Applicants must submit the following documents to ILO.
Application Form should be printed in single page and should not be stapled.

Application form (Foundation specified).
*Be sure to fill out sections 1, 2, 3 and 4.

Original certificate of enrollment.
(The issued date must be after April 1st, 2017.)

Original academic transcripts. (certified copies are accepted.)

Student in the 1st year of master course: Transcript of undergraduate school

Student in the 2nd year of master course: Transcript of undergraduate school and master’s course.

Student in 1st year of doctoral course: Transcript of undergraduate school and master’s course.

Student in 2nd and 3rd year of doctoral course: Transcript of undergraduate school, master’s course and doctoral course.

A hand-written recommendation letter from an academic supervisor, in a sealed envelope. Letter must describe the applicant’s family or financial situation to show how much the applicant needs a financial aid. If applicant is newly enrolled in GSFS, he/she could ask a supervisor in undergraduate course to write.

A recent photo (4.5cm x 3.5 cm, taken within 6 months)

Copy of a residence (with an address in Tokyo).
