We are pleased to announce that a workshop titled “Introduction to OJAD (Online Japanese Accent Dictionary) for your self-training of Japanese Pronunciation” will be held at the Conference Room of Kashiwa campus library from 15:00 to 17:00 on the 20th (Wed) of April.
OJAD has been developed by Minematsu-laboratory of Graduate School of Engineering of UTokyo, and provides you with not only word accent information but also visual aids for pronunciation learning. The OJAD web-site is http://www.gavo.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp/ojad/
Prof. Minematsu, the leader of OJAD project, will come to give a talk on Japanese prosody, speech synthesis, and hands-on training of OJAD. If you are interested, please take part in the workshop with your lap-top or tablet. (The screen of iPhone may be too small.) Your PC or tablet needs to have an internet access in the library.
You can just walk in on the day, but to secure the seats and allow us to send you the workshop material in advance, please send an e-mail titled OJAD to ilo@k.u-tokyo.ac.jp by 18th of April.
