Eligibility | -Privately financed international students who hail from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, East Timor, or Vietnam and are enrolled in a Japanese Graduate school (Research students are not eligible).
-Possess strong interest in the improvement of international understanding and a strong will to participate in events hosted by the Foundation. -Must not receive funding from other scholarship foundations under any circumstance. -Possess ‘college student’ visa status. -Does not have a parent employed in Japan. -Must not have a Ph.D. degree. -Those who newly enrol in master course or doctoral course in April 2015. -Must have good Japanese command for your graduate course work. -Those who are willing to participate exchange activities as almnus, even if his/her Sato Yo International scholarship has expired. |
Amount | Amount: 180,000 JPY/month.Duration: two years for master course students (from April 2015 to March 2017) , and three years for doctoral course students. |
