Eligibility

(1)

Privately funded international students having “college student” visa, and being enrolled in a master or doctoral course as a regular student as of April, 2021. Students from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Middle and South America, and Africa are given priority.

(2)

Those who need financial assistance and are able to receive the scholarship for at least one year.

(3)

Those who will not be receiving other scholarships after April 2021.

(4)

Those who have not received the Mitsubishi Corporation International Student Scholarship in the past.

(5)

Those who are both mentally and physically fit, having excellent academic achievement as well as strong desire to contribute to the development of international community.

Amount

Amount: 150,000 JPY/month
Duration: from April 2021 to the end of standard study period

Applicants must email the following documents to the International Liaison Office: ilo[a]edu.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp (Replace [a] with @.)

1.	Application Form for Scholarship from private Foundations
2.	Transcript of graduate school and of undergraduate school
3.	Copy of your residence card
4.	Copy of your Student ID card

An applicant who has passed the GSFS internal screening will be required to submit other documents.
