Eligibility
(1) Privately financed international students studying or planning to enroll in master’s or doctoral program. Doctoral students exceeding their 3rd year are eligible to apply.
(2) Those who are from East Asia or South east Asia (for details, see the guideline).
(3) Those who major in natural sciences or related faculties (for details, see the guideline).
(4) Those who are under 30 years old for master students and those who are under 35 years old for doctoral students as of April 1, 2020.
(5) Those who will not receive other scholarships after April, 2020.
(6) Those who will be able to attend the scholarship recipient meetings held five times a year (including one 3-day overnight training trip).
(7) Those who desire to continue contacting with the Iwatani Foundation after the completion of scholarship.
(8) Those who are expected to contribute to an international understanding and amity.
(9) Those who are able to communicate well in Japanese.

Amount
Amount : 150,000 JPY/Month
Duration : April 2020 to March 2021
